Laura Schnaidt is the founder of Women in Funds and the Managing Partner of Paradox Principals LLC, an advisory firm for emerging managers and family offices. She is an investment management attorney who has served as a General Counsel and CCO to three multi-billion dollar funds (most recently, Blue Torch Capital, a $6.2bn credit fund). She has also worked as an attorney in the private funds groups of two premier law firms (Shearman & Sterling, and most recently, as Counsel at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP). Laura founded Women in Funds in 2017 while heading the legal and compliance function at Marble Arch Investments, a hedge fund. Laura is admitted to the New York Bar and she holds a BA from Columbia University and a JD, magna cum laude, from New York Law. Additionally, Laura was previously a member of the Private Funds Committee of the NYC Bar Association (2020-2023) and during law school, Laura was a legal extern with the private funds unit of the SEC’s Enforcement division.
